Bio

Jose Lopez is an accomplished Argentine pianist and educator recognized for his versatility across classical, jazz, tango, and contemporary styles. He studied Piano at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, where he built a strong foundation in classical performance before expanding into jazz and contemporary music. Jose has since developed a dynamic international performance career, gracing venues across Argentina, Switzerland, and the high seas with Princess Cruises.

Jose’s refined artistry and deep musical sensitivity have earned him top honors, including First Prize in the Fundación Catedral’s Second Piano Competition and multiple wins at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo Orchestra Competitions. He has enriched his training through masterclasses with luminaries such as Daniel Rivera, and has honed his jazz and tango interpretations through prestigious programs like the Córdoba Jazz Camp and Tango for Musicians in Buenos Aires.

As a performer, Jose seamlessly blends technical finesse with expressive depth, performing solo and with ensembles in theaters, hotels, and cultural events. His long-standing engagements aboard Princess Cruises and at Switzerland’s Walter Hotel highlight his ability to connect with diverse audiences in a range of settings—from intimate salons to grand concert spaces.

Beyond the stage, Jose is a passionate educator with over a decade of experience teaching teenagers and adults. His pedagogical approach draws from both classical foundations and modern idioms, empowering students to explore the piano through creativity, improvisation, and disciplined technique.
